About
I have over 14 years of experience in gender equality, women’s empowerment, and gender mainstreaming, with expertise across gender analysis, institutional gender policy, GBV response, project coordination, and capacity building. I have led gender audits, developed comprehensive gender action plans, and conducted gender analyses for large-scale projects such as the USAID Transform WASH Project and the World Bank-funded Women Entrepreneurship Development Project (WEDP).
As a Gender Advisor, I provided strategic guidance on integrating gender into programs, developed performance indicators for gender equity and GBV response, and delivered gender awareness training to over 2,000 WASH professionals. I also led research on the opportunities and challenges for women in the sanitation business, resulting in actionable insights to promote women’s economic empowerment.
In my role as Project Coordinator for WEDP, I successfully coordinated services and training for over 3,000 stakeholders, facilitating job creation and valuable connections for women entrepreneurs. My experience also includes data analysis and monitoring of gender-specific outcomes and impact measurement.
My academic background, which includes an MPH in Public Health, MA in Gender and Development Studies, and BSc in Applied Mathematics, combined with specialized training in Data Analytics, has equipped me with a robust understanding of gender dynamics and data-driven decision-making.
