Lyson Kadzalalowa is an MEL expert with over seven years of experience in designing monitoring and learning strategies,in range of thematic areas in various capacities, including Agriculture, Climate Change, Nutrition, Sexual Reproductive health, and Gender. His most recent position is the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Consultant for the USAID-funded Cooperative Development Activity 4 where he coordinated implementation of mid-term evaluation, and conducted data management activities. Prior to this He was the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Specialist for USAID funded Malawi Strengthened Inclusive Markets in Agriculture, where He coordinated research activities, maintained the project’s monitoring and evaluation systems, plans, and frameworks. Lyson also served as a Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator for Support for Nutrition Improvement Component Project (SNIC) for a year, and served in a similar capacity for USAID’s Feed the Future – Integrating Nutrition in Value Chains Project (INVC). He also served as the monitoring and Evaluation Manager for Blantyre Synod Health and Development Commission (BSHDC). On various occasions in these roles Lyson has also taken learning initiatives such as knowledge dissemination, capacity building of community and staff to work with MEL systems, sharing research findings. These experiences have strengthened his expertise in developing M&E frameworks, logical frameworks, data collection using mobile applications, conducting data management data analysis and data visualisation using state of art computer statistical software such STATA, R and Microsoft Excel.
