CAREER OBJECTIVE

I am an experienced carbon finance professional and trained development and societal change management professional. I have significant experience developing and managing programs, working in the carbon finance sector in Africa. I would like to make a major contribution in shaping the systems that shall improve the sustainability of resource use and planning in the 21st century through innovation, research and through management of development systems in private, public and multilateral sectors.

HIGHLIGHTS OF EXPERIENCE

For the last 11 years, I have worked in the area of carbon finance. I have worked in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Malawi, Ethiopia and Mali. In course of my work, I have sourced opportunities, initiated projects, carried out baseline and monitoring surveys and managed these projects to the issuance of almost 2.5 million carbon credits for the compliance markets (2.1 million CERs) and voluntary markets (360,000 VERs). I have served as a Country Coordinator, Carbon Program Manager and a consultant in Project Development and Monitoring.

Earlier in my career, I worked in the area of ecology as a research assistant, research leader and project consultant. I also served as a Consultant in the area of Geographical Information Systems and part time Teaching Assistant in the area of Wildlife Resource Inventories and Economics.
