About

I am a practitioner in the fields of environmental assessment and management in general and in integrated water and waste management in particular.

In my consulting experience, I have directed multidisciplinary studies for international organizations, banks & development agencies, international NGOs, local authorities and governmental agencies.  Such studies include consulting services for World Bank framework and IFC standard compliance, developing EHS management systems, managing environmental assessments for permitting requirements, conducting due diligence and compliance audits for different sectors and industries, developing regulatory/legislative frameworks, standards and policies, managing soil and groundwater pollution and remediation studies, and completing feasibility studies for proposed solutions.

Some recent and ongoing projects include: World Bank Environmental and Social Management Framework studies for Arab Gas Pipeline for the Ministry of Energy and Water in Lebanon; IFC Compliant Stakeholder Engagement Plan implementation tool development for TOLLCAM in Cameroon (Razel-Fayat Group); Soil Remediation Feasibility, Remediation Action Workplan, Detailed Hazardous Waste Landfill Design, and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for Tripoli Tank Farm (Rosneft); Plastic Sector Circular Economy and Waste Analysis for Lebanon including economic analysis and pilot project identification (UNDP); Hazardous Waste Public Private Partnership - Baseline and Initial Project Identification And Scoping Study for Lebanon (EBRD); and Feasibility Study and ESIA for Rehabilitation of Abbasiyeh Medical Waste Treatment Facility (UNDP).

I always strive to provide the best advice out of a participatory and integrated approach to achieve sustainable development and environmental protection.  This approach always accounts for local community concerns and livelihoods to achieve income and public health improvement as well as financial sustainability.
