About
Eng. Fredy is a licensed and registered professional Civil Engineer/Project Manager with 34 years of professional experience mainly responsible for managing the delivery of administrative, contractual, technical and financial management services of various civil works i.e. development projects of multi-sectoral nature (government, civil society, other donors, private sector). He is currently resident in Zambia and has worked for both the Employer/Client and Consultant organizations in the sub-Saharan Africa region (i.e. Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi and South Africa). Notably, were development projects executed as either Team Leader or Resident Engineer and Procurement Expert under international donor funding i.e. WB, EU, AfDB, MCC, Danida and Comesa.
After many years working as a Highways Engineer in the design office, Fredy was the Resident Engineer of various successful road and bridge projects and later completed a 7-year technical advisory role with the Zambian National Roads Agency, responsible for capacity building within the Planning & Design Department. He also applied his vast project management skills to ensure the AfDB-funded Malawi/Zambia and Malawi/Mozambique border post facilities on Nacala Transport Route Corridor were cost-effectively delivered on time, and within an agreed budget to desired quality specifications. Fredy also provided 5 years of part-time lectureship and mentorship services at the University of Zambia in Risk & Quality management courses under MSc in Project Management programme.
