About
Ludovico is an experienced researcher and a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) expert. Based in Mozambique, for the past 2.5 years he has successfully managed a multi-million-dollar portfolio of MEL projects funded by different donors, including FCDO, USAID, WFP and MCC, covering fragile and conflict-affected contexts in Eastern and Southern Africa. He has an extensive background in conflict and governance analysis, having completed his doctoral dissertation and published articles in peer-reviewed journals on the political and socioeconomic determinants of ethnic conflict in Sub Saharan Africa. Ludovico brings significant expertise and experience in the design of theories of change, the development of innovative and robust MEL strategies and frameworks and the implementation of quantitative and qualitative research studies and evaluations, including the provision of quality assurance, quality control, data cleaning and analysis. He has proven experience communicating evidence, learning and recommendations to inform project design, adaptive management and policy reform, working across a spectrum of hyper-local, national and international partners to infuse knowledge and learning into policy and practice. He is a skilled team leader and trainer for large teams of local and international researchers and has proven experience managing teams remotely.
