About
I have 40 years of experience in international business and technology venture development in SE Asia, N. America, W/E Europe, and Former USSR. Have lived and worked in 16 countries over a period of about 30 years as an expat. The focus of my work has been oriented towards technical assistance to MSMEs and in private sector development with an emphasis on the creation of new technology-based companies and solutions. I provide business training and mentoring about technology commercialization, Sustainable Development Goals, fundraising strategies, intellectual property rights, internationalization, and corporate strategy.
Hold a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and International Business from The American University School of International Service (Washington, DC) and an Executive MBA from Marquette University in International Business Administration and have certificates in international marketing and circular economies and sustainable business models.
I have worked for NGOs, private companies, regional development agencies, and national and multilateral government bodies as well as many corporations in addition to being a serial entrepreneur. I have started companies in six countries, have been awarded eight patents, and hold many trademarks. One of my start-ups was a medical device company from Russia which went IPO in Toronto and then on AMEX in the USA. As an expert evaluator of business plans and R&D proposals, I have evaluated more than $1.5 billion in projects from start-ups to multinational corporations and research institutes.
