Currently leading the work in sustainable value chain and food systems development for FAO's regional office for the Near East and North Africa, I have more than 15 years of experience working across sectors, with governments, NGOs and international development organizations. I have been managing and supporting the design, implementation and evaluation projects and programs and supporting countries in development polices, focusing on Agribusiness and value chain development, food loss and waste reduction and sustainability assessment. Specifically my work has contributed to: 1) building resilience of small and medium producers through improved post-harvest management and innovative approaches for better market access, livelihood and food security; 2) evidence-based policy and strategic advice and support for enhanced enabling environment to scale the results. I have led successful public- private dialogues through workshops and consultations, to ensure effective coordination in delivering results, to reach a common understanding of sustainability issues, and to identify win - win scenarios for establishing effective partnerships.
