A Doctorate in Development Studies, passionate about social research methods, human development and social issues. Strong and extensive theoretical perspectives of development in the region and around the globe. Looking for a position in an organisation concerned social research, economic development and public policy to further develop practical and transferable skills. I have 6 (six) months work experience as a Lead Researcher and Project Management Assistant. I have conducted research for the South African Local Government Association (SALGA)’s Senior Municipal Managers’ Induction programme (SALGA SMIP) and the SALGA Women in Leadership Development Programme (WiLD).

My PhD thesis looked at land reforms in South Africa. In particular, the research investigated the issues and challenges facing the land reform programme.

My research interests are: poverty (measures), human development indices, inequality, unemployment, sociological theory, democracy and good governance, land reform, agrarian transformation, agriculture, food security, diplomacy, social research methods and economic development.
