About
I studied law at the Rwanda National University achieving an LLB in Public Law and I am currently pursuing a MA in Law and Justice Administration. I have a vast crosscutting both national and international experience in Law, political advisory, community stabilization, policy and partnerships management. Having worked in Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, South Sudan, Mali and Nigeria, in post conflicy settings, has provided me with great experience in community level and national projets management. Beside my legal background, I have particulary accumulated strong community stabilization experience and partnerships management, from my current employment with the Independent Observer for the Peace Agreement in Mali and with UNOWAS where I serve as a UN Civilian Observer on border demarcation project between Nigeria and Cameroon; I’ve gained similar experience on policies partaining to education and other social infrastructures, from my previous employement with the East African Communiy and the UN Mission in Mali.
In the context of Mali, indeed, while working with the UN Mission in Mali, I primarly focused on supporting the rolling of Governement education policies (including revised national curriculum for basic education, and other basic social services in Mali; managing UN partiships with the host Government on one hand, and UN partnerships with projects implementation partners on the other); I also coordinated the implementation With the EAC, I supported communities economic entegration through harmonization national policies [trade, education …] and laws in East African counties. With my current employement, I closely work with the Malian Governement and other Peace Agreement Signatory advising and advocating for the adoption policies and laws which integrate aspects of the Peace Agreement [including education ] into national programatic actions. I also handle partneships between the Malian Governement and the Independent Observer and other funding agencies, while also taking care of project management aspects. In my current job with UNOWAS, I am also responsible for managing, among others, the Nigeria/Cameroon relations with the UNOWAS pertaining to the implementation of the Judgement of the International Court of Justice. I have accumulated strong experience in polical advisory and management of high level relationshps with governements and state as well as non actors. I am a Lawyer admitted to practice law at the Rwandan Bar Association and I have a perfect command of the English, French and Swahili languages.
