M. Rashid Hussain is a Financial Economist with eight (8) years of experience in International Development Sector. Currently Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) has outsourced his services for leading their new initiatives and designing inclusive programs for training and employability of youth, person with disabilities and gender mainstreaming. Prior to that he was acting as a focal person for the implementation of Punjab Resource Improvement and Digital Effectiveness (PRIDE) – a World Bank funded project and also worked as consultant on Investment Initiatives in Chief Minister’s Office Punjab where he worked closely with Advisor to CM on Economic Affairs and Planning & Development and devised plans for institutional capacity building, better management of fiscal resources and improving investment climate in Punjab. His expertise lies in Public Sector research, policy design and program implementation with a focus on Public Financial Management (PFM), Skills Sector, Good Governance and gender mainstreaming. He has also contributed in various policy documents including Punjab’s Performance Outlook 2018-22, Punjab Growth Strategy 2018-23, PFM Reform Plan and Strategy, Medium-Term Fiscal Framework and Execution Report (FY 15-16). He holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance from LSE.
