I have extensive experience across central and local government agencies and the private sector in Niue, Australia, and New Zealand. My experience working in foreign affairs and economic development has contributed to my knowledge "kato" (basket) and framed the context of my approach when it comes to working in the business and economic development and community development space. Growing up on Niue (Rock of Polynesia) culture and traditions were the mainstays of our collective mindset. I moved to New Zealand to complete a marketing and international business degree and then later completed an MBA at the University of Auckland where my thesis focused on the relationship and tension points of “Entrepreneurship in the Pacific cultural context”. Being active and part of the community gives me the opportunity to gather unique experiences in cultural, performing arts - dance, and storytelling programs. All this influences my work and brings perspective to the Talanoa tool and the Kakala framework in participatory engagement and co-design.
