I am a Kenyan citizen and holder of a Bachelor of Education Degree (B. ed Arts) from Moi University Kenya. I am also undertaking MA in Disaster Management at the University of Nairobi. I am a seasoned and certified Project Management Professional (PMD Pro) by APM Group, England. I bring a wealth of over 15 years’ experience in programme development and strategic visioning, Proven track record of successfully managing complex, large projects for demanding clients; effective and persuasive communication with stakeholders at all organizational levels; promoting learning and a cost-conscious culture, ensuring effective and constructive communication between administrative, financial, programme, sponsorship, grant functions and Area offices. This includes managing project documentation, scope, and deliverables; Planning projects, monitoring and reporting delivery performance; establishing effective project governance and project organization; operating robust project controls; managing resources and staffing;managing communication and stakeholder; managing project closures; developing good partnership relations, managing and supporting capacity building on Project Cycle Management (PCM), M&E frameworks, integrated programming among others.
My technical qualifications have been acquired through a track record of experience working with 3 INGOs, personal development and learning in areas such as strategic programme development as per regional and global programme initiatives; overseeing specific advances in Innovation, Protection, Markets and ICT 4 D programming through localized and networked approach; expanding the use of Cash Based Programmes and increasing use of technology to improve efficiency of the programmes; strengthening accountability to beneficiaries through improved M&E systems, establishment of beneficiary feedback and complaints mechanisms as well as improved needs assessments for evidence-based programming. Additionally, Ancelim has interacted with a myriad of critical organization functions and lead teams such as Programmes (Area Management Teams, Rapid Response Teams (RRT) members, Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Support Managers (Finance, Administration, Sponsorship), Advocacy Manager and protection analysis; grants management & Proposal development teams: Area Managers, Regional Programme Adviser, Finance Manager/ Finance Coordinator, Regional Programme Adviser, ICT Manager and Communication Manager through a RACI Matrix.
On top of that, Ancelim brings a wealth of 8 years’ experience in senior management position in a humanitarian context. This includes working with UNHCR and other partners; local leaders, teachers, women, young children, minors, people with disability, local communities, refugees from the Great Lakes Region, East Africa and the Horn of Africa and major international donors – skills which are invaluable assets for any international organization working in humanitarian and development contexts, cash-based interventions and market-based programmes. I bring a wealth of skills such as Project management, strong decision making, strategic thinking, commitment to diversity and collaboration, relationship building and management, advanced proficiency in written and spoken English, stakeholder relationship management, organizational skills, policy formulation and review, project start-up/closeout, empowering and building trust, proactive thinking and risk management, good knowledge of donor regulations, influencing & advocacy, problem-solving and innovative skills, teamwork, knowledge and understanding of digital learning and online education, presentation, communication and negotiation skills, managing resources to optimize results, initiating action and change.
Ancelim has successfully worked closely with donors like USAID, Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR), New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT), UNHR, UNWFP, Wakachiai Project of Japan, BPRM, Danish Church AID, Kindernothilfe (KNH), ACT and Lutheran World Federation, ChildFund International Protect vulnerable populations in both development and humanitarian contexts.
