About
She/her. After a 5-month career break to focus on publishing my first research chapters with Routledge, as well as to focus on achieving personal goals (running my first ultra marathon to raise money as an Ambassador for Free to Run), I am now looking for my next full-time opportunity in research/monitoring and evaluation/programmes on thematic areas of gender, education, violence prevention!
About me:
I have been working in the field of inclusive education for over 10 years in different capacities, contexts and countries. My experience has included working in classrooms with children of all ages in Vietnam and Portugal, developing resources and curricula, and authoring and publishing my first children's book - Suzie The 8 Legged Painter in 2021. I completed my master's degree in Gender Studies in 2021, focusing on decolonising education institutions to structurally transform education systems to be founded upon principles of feminist ethics of care. Working in the education sector for international NGOs more recently, I have conducted training workshops for adults across the world on violence prevention, education and the holistic development of children. Skilled in cross-cultural partnership building, I am passionate about working with diverse organisations and individuals to advance gender-just and decolonial education.
Uniting my programme experience in the non-profit sector and passion for research, I recently completed a monitoring and evaluation course as I am interested in delving deeper to assess programme effectiveness in relation to short- and long-term impact, as I have seen the importance of robust but flexible MEL frameworks to enhance programmatic work.
