Joseph Kaphipa is an Experienced and Resourceful Project Management Specialist. He has an extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing development projects. With the ability and track record in delivering tangible results, he has competencies in organisational Leadership, operational excellence, business partnerships, community engagement, capacity building and systems strengthening. He currently serves as a Country Manager for Mezzanine in Tanzania. In his roles, he leads the development and implementation of programs aimed at empowering and supporting Smallholder Farmers (SHF) from marginalised communities with digital solutions that are evidence-based, data driven and owned by the served populations/SHF. Mr. Kaphipa leads a Digital Marketplace that provides end-to-end solutions (Farmers Registration, Inputs Financing, Education, Communication, Inputs Distribution, Linkage to Markets and Crops Insurance) to 50,000+ Smallholder Farmers in the Agriculture sector in Tanzania.

Mr. Kaphipa is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from Chartered Management Institute (CMI – UK). He holds an Executive MBA in Project Management from Guglielmo Marconi University (Italy) and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the Institute of Social Work (ISW), among many others. He is an Outgoing and Versatile Tanzanian Professional with 15+ years of experience building capacities of technical personnel in the Development Sector. As a solution-oriented quick learner, he continually strives for personal and professional growth through hard work, time management, attention to detail, flexibility, dependability, good governance and being a great Team player. With an extensive working experience in the Social Development and Business sectors, Joseph is also passionate about helping Youth and Women in their Entrepreneur journeys. He is actively involved in initiatives that promote their Health and Well-being. He has got the approach, network, and capabilities to deliver several development and humanitarian programs related to Agriculture, Health, Education, Gender, Child & Youth development, Entrepreneurship, Trainings, Corporate Social Responsibility and Renewable Energy.

In his current role, Mr. Kaphipa provides strategic direction and technical leadership to the Country team. Notably, he is also responsible for managing the company’s overall financial and operational performance in-country, ensuring that resources are used effectively and efficiently to achieve the most significant and sustainable impact. As the face of the Company, he is responsible for fostering strong relationships with Government Officials, Tenants, local partners, and key stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of the Company’s business operations. He is reputable for taking calculated risks, leading strategies and transformative initiatives that results in operational excellence and Impact.
