Sourcing suppliers and maintaining long-lasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers.
Implementing invesntory optimization strategies within the company.
Obtaining quotation from different suppliers.
Negotiating price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Working with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of negotiation.
Assesing quotations and compiling a detailed assesment of cost breakdowns.
Generating quote comparisons and contributing to internal supplier selection based on the quotes.
Providing solutions to improve company speeding and outsourcing.
Managing the purchasing cycle, including creating purchase orders and negotiating contracts with suppliers.
Providing technical knowledge about material, products, manufacturing processes, and other industry-specific knowledge for use negotiations with suppliers.
Reviewing bids from potential suppliers and selecting a supplier based criteria such as price, quality and reliability of servoce.
Coordinating with finance staff to ensure that invoices are paid prompty.
