Over 14 years of extensive experience in establishment and strengthening of health systems as well as supply chain management of pharmaceuticals and promotion of rational use of medicines predominantly at national level with roles of advisory, consultancy and senior expertise positions. High level experience on selection, quantification, supply planning and procurement as well as inventory management, distribution planning and rational use of different category of health commodities for various health programs with focus on HIV, Malaria, TB, MNCH, Vaccines, public health emergency as well as other essential health commodities. Experienced in managing the supply chain of public health emergency commodities during my service as a senior advisor for public health emergency supply chain at Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI). Ample experience in health and humanitarian organizational system establishment and strengthening, strategy development, as well as designing, developing and implementing different need-based in-service training systems, working manuals, guidelines and standard operating procedures. Proven experience in managing people and coordination of tasks in stressful environment. Expert in capacity development and consulting in promoting rational use of medicines, pharmacovigilance, regulatory and business perspectives of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Worked for different local and international organizations including Ministry of Health, Ethiopian Pharmaceuticals Supply Agency (EPSA), Ethiopian Public Health institute (EPHI), Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), and Alephtav Consulting firm, and as well as at hospital (subnational) level. Lead expert in concept initiation, conducting, supervising and coordinating different national surveys as well as research activities (and analyzing finding reports) by making use of different data management and analysis tools (Python, MS excel, SPSS, epi info, STATA, Quantimed, QuanTB, Pipeline, etc.). Equipped with professional knowledge and practical experience (while at the Ethiopian Public health Institute) of establishing emergency (disaster preparedness and) response systems, epidemiologic surveillance systems, disease prevention and control systems as well as emergency supply chain systems.
