Dr. Penda Diop is a geographer specializing in water management and governance on the one hand, and environmental ecosystems on the other. She has a wealth of experience in integrated water resource management. Her contributions to the water sector earned her the position of Follow-up Officer at the Executive Secretariat of the 9th World Water Forum, held from March 21 to 26, 2022 in Dakar, Senegal.
Her commitment, dynamism and teamwork contributed to the success of the world's largest water event, and will be assets she carries into her career working with organizations committed to sustainable, human and environmental development.
Dr. Penda Diop is currently in charge of inclusive water governance for the Water Resources Management Project, a USAID project implemented by Chemonics International in Senegal. She is keen to continue working in the world of research and development for the well-being of vulnerable and marginalized groups.
