About

Grace is an experienced professional with vast experience in implementing development programs for over 20 years. She contributed significantly to projects that address economic challenges faced by Low and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs).

Her journey in development economics began with a strong academic foundation, earning a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Moi University. She then proceeded to apply her knowledge in practical settings, working with various organizations and academic thinkers dedicated to innovating interventions and generating evidence that reduces poverty in developing regions. To strengthen her experience, she pursued a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Management from Strathmore University.

Throughout her career, she undertook diverse roles, ranging from primary data collection through interviews and surveys, rigorous research for impactful development projects, to information dissemination and policy engagement. Her contribution encompasses a wide range of topics, including HIV education, quality of drinking water, sanitation and hygiene, youth and women's economic empowerment, low-cost health services in private health facilities, and financial inclusion for smallholder farmers.

She collaborated closely with partners in governments, NGOs, international agencies, and local communities to implement innovative strategies and policies tailored to the unique socio-economic contexts of LMICs. Her efforts have not only generated valuable insights to addressing economic disparities but have also yielded tangible results in terms of programs at scale and enhanced economic prospects for targeted populations. In addition to her hands-on experience, she has contributed to publications and participated in information dissemination at conferences and forums globally.

Driven by a commitment to social justice and inclusive growth, Grace continues to be actively engaged in shaping the discourse and driving positive change in the realm of development economics. Whether through grassroots initiatives, research, or policy engagement, she remains dedicated to advancing the economic well-being of communities in LMICs.
