➢ Pre-defined point generation for soil sample collection and Soil resource mapping. ➢ Managed geospatial database, developed maps, interpreted and analyzed different raster data ➢ Maintain geospatial documentation for reference purposes and database➢ Collect high-quality spatial and non-spatial data using mobile phones, tablets, or computers using Survey CTO and survey solutions ➢ Work in compliance with GIS standards and quality policies. ➢ Provide technical guidance to GIS and QGIS users when needed. ➢ Assist the technical team in system design and development. ➢ Support in developing a work plan for complex projects. ➢ Google earth-based Land use Land cover classification. ➢ Remote sensing input data collection, preprocessing, and Harmonization. ➢ Establishing a system for data collection, remote project supervision, m oni t o ri n g an d evaluation through Kobo Toolbox ➢ Performs basic soil and agronomic data collections; works with others using the Global Positioning System (GPS) or tablets ➢ Uses geospatial technology to manipulate digital and analogue geospatial data to examine and identify areas of different kinds of soils ➢ Contribute to the development of spatial information characterizing soil and land quality, for instance for soil organic carbon sequestration, soil fertility assessments, sustainable land management, and forest degradation ➢ Generate soil information (e.g., from World soil and SoilGrids), remote sensing data, or modelling approaches ➢ Develop and prepare standardized and quality training manual on advanced GIS and remote sensing digital soil mapping and soil conservation area ➢ Capacity building and training of trainers (TOT) of federal and regional GIS experts
