William AMELI TASSE is a Consultant-Trainer and Expert in Digital Finance & Financial Inclusion. Passionate about digital financial inclusion, he has more than 18 years of experience in the microfinance sector, retail banking and in the field of digital finance in developing African countries. He is a certified expert from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management in the following specialties: microfinance, digital finance, financial inclusion policies and agricultural finance (training completed, certification in progress). His transversal career as a banking executive in different key compartments of banking/microfinance (front and back office) has allowed him to have a good knowledge of professional practices in the sector. 

Between 2010 and 2019, William, as project manager, successfully piloted the digital financial inclusion program of a leading microfinance institution in Cameroon  (which later became a banking institution in 2018) through the implementation of technology and DFS projects (roll out of a new core banking system, electronic money system and digital banking channels : program budget estimated at over XAF 1.5 billion [USD 3.3 Million], the development of digital financial products and services including nano loans, the implementation and promotion of alternative banking channels.  

Since 2020, William has worked as an independent Consultant. His areas of expertise include digital finance project feasibility studies, digital financial services project/program management, technical assistance to digital financial service providers including microfinance institutions and Fintechs to promote access to financial services for vulnerable populations and MSMEs. Its involvement in digital finance projects extends to the design of digital finance strategies, the definition of IT solution needs, the management of calls for tender, the development of products and channels, training and capacity building, change management, go-to-market strategies, strategic recommendations for successful implementation of innovative projects, etc. 

William is also a trainer in topics relating to microfinance, digital innovations and financial inclusion. He acts as a trainer with the Boulder Institute in its digital transformation program for French-speaking MFIs. He recently intervened as a co-trainer at the 6th edition of African Microfinance Week (SAM) in Lomé, Togo on the topic relating to the digital transformation of microfinance institutions.

Finally, William is also a prescriber of financial technology solutions for the banking, microfinance and payments industry.
