My name is Fayyaz Din, I was born and raised in Pakistan, worked for about 20 years in Pakistan and Europe, and 10 years in Canada. Served as Project Director, Program Manager, Project Manager, Construction Manager, donors, consultant and contractors’ representative, and lead project management specialist.

With over 20 years of professional experience in Project Management in IT, Construction, Water and Sanitation sectors, I am a registered professional Engineer, PMI-certified project manager and Certified Business Relationship Management Professional and BSc Engineering (1993).

I worked extensively on many National, Regional and International Partnership initiatives on Sustainable Integrated Development issues in IT, Construction, Water Supply, Integrated Water Resources Management, project planning, design, management and development, implementation supervision and monitoring. 

I remained involved with multi-stakeholder collaboration and engagement, project planning, design, operations, monitoring, business and partnership development in Pakistan, North America, and Europe with many international development partner organizations including the OECF (Overseas Economic and Cooperation Fund), Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), SIDA and the World Bank (WB) assisted projects.

August 2016 to Date: Program Manager at Telus - Toronto.

• Leading and coordinating the IT Sector Partnership Development, planning, design, implementation, supervision and monitoring of IT-related projects

Sep 2008 to Jun 2014: Project Director at Nokia, Islamabad, Pakistan

·       Appointed to lead the program with a clear focus on margin improvement, up scoping, business continuity and better customer relationships. Successfully Managed end to end-project implementation supervision and delivery of IT infrastructure projects including planning and deployment, with a budget of over $100M

Oct 2004 to Feb 2008: Assistant Manager Construction, Telenor, Islamabad, Pakistan. 

●      Responsible for Construction Management of Development Projects of the Company Franchise office, Telecom towers and optical fibre planning, design and construction projects in the Northern Pakistan area

Oct 2003 to September 2004: Construction Project Manager, NESPAK(World Bank Funded Project for Irrigation system Drainage projects in KPK, Pakistan, Budget $50M

·        Management and Supervision of Major Drainage project design and implementation

May 1996 to Apr 2001: Supervisory Consultant (OECF Japan Assisted Project, Pakistan) Integrated Environment Development Project.

·       Designed field-level integrated development, and environmental management packages for use at the village level and prepared extension-type training materials relating to improved water use and reuse. Worked with more than 1550 community organizations in developing integrated development, value chain, and multi-purpose water and NRM projects.
