About
As a lecturer in the department of Statistics and Actuarial Sciences at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Kenya, I have a proven track record of providing exemplary service. My responsibilities include teaching, research and consultancies, mainly on the areas of financial modelling, health economics, statistics and data science. I have an active and dynamic approach to work and getting things done, always seeking to achieve high standards in all my undertakings. My academic background and professional experience have enabled me to hone my skills in the field of statistical analysis, financial risk modelling and disease modelling, areas I am particularly passionate and excited about. My recent operational research activities include modelling COVID-19 evolution dynamics in Kenya at the height of the pandemic, in support of the Ministry of Health, through an appointment into the COVID-19 modelling technical committee, an activity that earned me Head of State Commendation (HSC) in 2020. I am also a member of the Division of Community Health Service Delivery Technical Working Group.
