About
Pharmacist by training, I bring over two decades of cross-cutting experience public policy, participation and global health.
My career began in the pharmaceutical sector, where I developed expertise in pricing and reimbursement strategies and health technology assessment (HTA) at both national and international levels. Since 2010, my professional focus has shifted to health policy and public participation, working as a researcher, advisor, and consultant.
I have held advisory roles with the Portuguese Parliament and the Ministry of Health, contributing to health policy development and strategic planning. Internationally, I have collaborated with the World Health Organization on projects in Angola and Guinea-Bissau, working directly with Ministries of Health to support health system strengthening efforts.
My professional journey has also included engagement with civil society organizations and multilateral actors, focusing on issues of public participation, equity, access to care, and evidence-based health policy. I maintain an active academic presence, with several peer-reviewed publications accessible via my ORCID profile (https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1907-1883).
I am passionate about working at the intersection of policy, strategy, and implementation, particularly in contexts requiring innovative, cross-sector solutions to complex health challenges.
