In the last twenty years, I coordinated, in Europe, Asia, Central and South America, several projects in Disaster Risk Assessment and Disaster Risk Management for hydraulics and hydrogeological hazards. Moreover, I was responsible for several projects in Seismic and Tsunami Risk Assessment and Management focused on Prevention, Forecasting, Early Warning systems and evacuation protocols.

 I worked for fifteen years for Italian Protection Civil Department and I have considerable experience in managing international projects.

Expert in seismic engineering, particularly in structural design with Euro code 8 and NTC-08 

Specialization in the study of seismic hazard and risk, mainly on activities pertaining emergency forecasting, prevention and planning (Identification of highest hydraulic/seismologic risk, identification of the level of structural vulnerability of the area, Definition of Early Warning systems, Methodologies for evacuation in case of an emergency).
