About
KOUAKOU N'guessan Patrice is Journalist / Press & Media Specialist / Communications Expert with over 15 years of experience. His professional career encompasses the fields of media, journalism, communication, sustainable development, advocacy and peacekeeping. He is currently a freelance journalist dealing with all matters relating to Africa, and is a visiting professor at Graduate schools and private universities.
His educational background includes: - a Master 2 in Sustainable Development, as well as - a Master’s Degree in Modern Letters from the University Felix Houphouet-Boigny. And then, - a DESS (today Master 2) in TV Journalism, as well as - a Post-Graduate Diploma in Communication from Institut des Sciences et Techniques de la Communication (ISTC) d’Abidjan. Also, he has several certifications in different areas of expertise. "Conflict Analysis in Early Warning"; "Dialogue and Mediation" at KAIPTC (Accra, Ghana); “Environmental Assessment of Development Policies and Programs”; “Economy & management of the environment & natural resources"; "Environmental Law and Protection"
He had contributed to media such as (i) RTI, (ii) Democrat, (iii) SPORE MAGAZINE - CTA, a joint international institution of the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States and the European Union (EU).
He worked for development projects/programs as a Communications Consultant. In the framework of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) between West Africa and the European Union (SEQUACI Program), he's elaborated the APE Visibility Plan and Communication Strategy (2016-2018).
He supported WANEP - Côte d’Ivoire in the elaboration of its Communication Strategy ‘Electoral situation room (ESR) / CSO platform for peaceful, credible and fair elections (PEACE) in Côte d’Ivoire’ (May 2015), as part of the Calm & Credible Elections Barometer Project in Côte d’Ivoire in 2015.
He elaborated the Visibility Plan & Communication Strategy for the European Union’s Food Facility Program in Côte d’Ivoire (2011-2012) as part of the Support Project for Small Market Garden Producers in the Savannah Regions (PPMS).
A demonstrated understanding of issues related to sustainable development. A background related to agriculture, trade, and/or sustainability standards. He's used to working in complex and volatile contexts. He has the experience of working on several projects simultaneously.
Experience with a multilateral financial institution : the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a United Nations specialized agency.
