Trade & Private Sector Development (PSD) expertise: 24 years experience of working in 20 emerging economies with in depth knowledge of PSD, regional integration, trade, local/regional development - RDA set up and RDA Strategies, SME development, finance, privatisation, corporate restructuring, biz environment & advocacy, corporate governance, competitiveness, cluster formation, FDI & export promotion, trade facilitation (Industrial Standards, HACCP, Phyto Sanitary, CE), job creation in post conflict and for marginalised communities.
Policy Co-ordination/Formulation: Experience with policy formulation process of Regional Development, Cross Border Co-operation, PRSP, structural reform of enterprise sector, trade policy and WTO accession, FDI and EU Charter for SME Development. Design & participation of government/donor co-ordination forums for regional development, privatisation, energy reform, SME and corporate restructuring. Aid coordinator for Slovenia and support accession process for Slovakia using pre-accession instruments (SAPARD).
