Wide experience (18 years) in identification, management, monitoring and evaluation of international cooperation programs for development, in several sectors:

-        Infrastructure, Management and Governance of the WASH sector (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene);

-        Climate Change Adaptation; Environment and Natural resources management;

-        Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Disaster Preparedness with community and school focus;

-        Identification and management of Emergency, post-emergency and rehabilitation programs;

-        Rural development and agro-forestry production with agro-ecologic and value chain focus;

Support to cooperatives and micro-enterprises (revolving credit funds);

-        Food security and Nutrition, investigation and projects formulation/implementation with local institutions, govt. and international organizations;

-        Capacity building and support to Governance with govt. institutions and NGOs, as cross sector approach.

. Wide experience in program management with the project cycle methodology (EC);

. Familiarity with norms and admin. procedures of EC, ECHO and UN Agencies;

. Work experience in program coordination with UN Agencies (UNICEF, UNDP);

. Wide knowledge of Nicaragua and Central America, their problematic and the local and international actors concerned in development processes;

. Wide experience working with public institutions, govt. and local organizations, based on participatory methodologies;

. Experienced in: application of gender approach as cross sector focus; management of programs with strong multi-cultural elements, with indigenous and afro-descendant population;

. Experience in actions of Advocacy with govt. institutions, NGOs and donors, about different issues;

. Analytical skills and ability to formulate strategies; result oriented work;

. Skilled in motivating and leading multi-disciplinary teams including international and local multi-cultural staff;

. Excellent communication (o/w), negotiation and mediation skills;

. Experienced working in complex situations and under pressure.
