With more than 20 years experience working in Public Health and international development, I have a sound track record in the design and implementation of effective interventions, both internationally and in Australia. I have extensive management skills and work with the attention to detail required to effectively coordinate successful programs. Working within in a multi-sector context, I have supported counterparts in the implementation of health and disaster risk reduction projects for vulnerable and high-risk groups. I have provided advice on policy formation, participated and conducted program and project reviews and evaluations, contributing to an enabling environment to facilitate change with a particular focus on community based responses including primary health care, sexual and reproductive health, HIV and AIDS, epidemic disease prevention, behaviour change and disaster risk reduction. I have supported development of projects through integrated programming designed to contribute to the building of community resilience. I am experienced in working with a broad range of donors, stakeholders and counterparts to bring about solutions that deliver results to meet divergent needs. I have excellent advocacy, liaison and cross-cultural skills and a demonstrated commitment to public health principles. I bring strong leadership, management, facilitation, monitoring and evaluation skills to programs and all my experience has utilised a capacity building/skills transfer approach within multidisciplinary and multi-sectoral environments
