Seasoned economist and development policy expert with more than twenty years’ experience in a range of development policy issues affecting developing countries and delivering policy advice to government and private sector stakeholders

• Proven experience with Policy Reform Dialogues and advising governments on development policies for inclusive growth, poverty & inequality reduction, job creation, and economic diagnostics
• More than twenty years of professional experience in assisting, advising and implementing policy-based reforms and public administration
• Strong analytical & operational skills in macroeconomic management, including fiscal management, the macroeconomic framework, growth strategy/diagnostics, poverty & inequality reduction; job creation strategies
• Micro & macroeconomic policies for growth
• Macro-fiscal & budget analysis; national development planning & plans; fiscal & medium-term budget planning/frameworks; debt policies & management
• Strong technical and operational skills in building macroeconomic modelling & forecasting using a suite of advanced econometric techniques (large scale & partial equilibrium) and data (time series & panels)
• Proficient in applied econometrics (time series/panel data models) using Eviews & STATA
• Experience with Public Expenditure Reviews
• Experience in supporting and advising governments with EU budget support programs
• Experience with project/program design and management
• Experience in capacity building programs with public authorities and private sector actors
• Expertise and experience in Public Finance; Public Finance Management & fiscal management issues, including costing various budget and government interventions, fiscal consolidation
• Experience and technical knowledge with social protection & safety nets schemes
• Knowledge of Risk Sensitive Budget Review; Rio-Marker System; Disaster Risk Management Methodology for disaster risk reduction
• Track record of development policy analysis & sectoral policies in developing country context
