Klaas (Nicolaas) is employed as the Independent Engineer Manager on the D4 PPP Road Project, Prague, Czechia . He has gained more than 45 years of experience on roads related projects, including project management, planning and design of roads, road maintenance management, road construction supervision, bridge construction supervision, traffic engineering, transportation engineering and Airport planning and design. He has been extensively involved in the development and managing of PPP for roads in the last 18years.

He obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Civil Engineering in 1977, after obtaining his Bachelor's degree in 1972, both from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He is registered as a professional engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as well as a member of the South African Institution of Civil Engineering (SAICE), the Engineers' Registration Board of Zambia (ERB) and is registered to work as a Professional Engineer in Qatar, Botswana and Ghana. He recently obtained an International Certificate in Health and Safety Management in Construction.
