About
My name is Manda Sadio KEITA, I am Malian, born on 30/03/1966 in Kolokani. I am married, father of three children. I did my primary and secondary school in Bamako. I joined the School of Economist Engineers in Kharkov, Ukraine, former USSR in 1987 and graduated in 1992 with a degree in engineer-economist, a Master in Computer Science Applied to Management (MIAGE). I returned to Mali in 1992 and worked as a teacher of mathematics and computer science before joining the Ivorian Center for Economic and Social Research (CIRES) in 1994 where I graduated in 1999 with a PhD in Agroeconomics. Back in Mali in 2000, I was recruited as a researcher at the Institute of Rural Economy where I worked for 8 years before being hired by the French Development Agency (AFD) as a research officer. From 2007, I was called to the Office of the Prime Minister of Mali as advisor in charge of the rural development sector and food security and environment. I was then recruited in 2010 by FAO in Mali as a Senior Programme Officer. In June 2014, IUCN recruited me as its representative in Mali. My contract with IUCN ended in December 2016.
From February 2017 to February 2019 I worked as a consultant, technical advisor for the Canadian Cooperation in Mali, in support of the Rural Development, Agriculture and Food Security sector. Since March 15, 2019, I have been coordinating the Support Program for Mali's National Food Security System.
