Ram is an accomplished Evaluation, and Learning specialist, and development practitioner with 20+ years of expertise in developing and managing interventions with a focus on climate change adaptation, resilience, nature-based solutions, agriculture, natural resources management, and livelihoods. He has a rich background in developing evaluation and learning frameworks and conducting independent assessments in complex and multi-cultural settings across Asia, and alongside various donors and organizations including ADB, UNDP, FAO, UNEP, ICIMOD, DFID, PwC, IUCN, GIZ.
With extensive expertise managing independent evaluations, Ram has a proven track record in designing evaluation frameworks, plans, guidelines/methods, and tools, and excels in developing critical learning protocols at the project level, conducting learning reviews, and implementing learning studies. He specializes in conducting multi-sectoral and complex project evaluations, contributing to capacity building through in-person and online training sessions for project staff and stakeholders, providing valuable advisory support to enhance overall project efficacy, and facilitating continuous learning and improvement within projects for sustainable and impactful outcomes.
He holds an MSc in agriculture and a PhD in development studies and has published research articles in the area of evaluation, climate change, agriculture and ecosystem management.
