Henri GWÉT is an international consultant graduated in Transport Economics from the University of Lyon 2 in France, in Statistics from the University of Paris 6 in France, and in Mathematics from the University of Yaoundé 1 in Cameroon. He has a long career in transport economics and data analysis.
Consultant, trainer, expert, director, manager and project manager, Mr. GWET has a multidisciplinary training in transport economics, data analysis, statistics, financial analysis, sociology, mathematics and computer science. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the field of transport infrastructure, assessment of transport policies and systems, collection and analysis of transport data, forecasting of traffic and estimation of with several studies and surveys on the major African corridors. He accumulated the following qualifications:
· Has demonstrated experience in traffic studies and road transport in Africa;
· Has demonstrated knowledge of cost analysis and evaluation of transportation systems;
· Expertise in data collection and statistical analysis, data validation and case studies;
· Good knowledge of transport sector agencies: Sectoral Program of Transport and Road Fund;
· Long practice in the coordination and implementation of census-type surveys, measurement of living standards, house surveys, etc.;
· Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of various types of surveys;
· Sector policy, organization and management of the road sector;
· Theoretical and technical methods of project evaluation;
· Management and conduct of an evaluation per the EU methodology;
· Project design and detailed feasibility studies;
· Assessment of the environmental impact of projects;
· Long experience in managing the project cycle per the EU and World Bank methodology;
· Very good command of EDF procedures in ACP countries;
· Good knowledge of procedures in international markets and EU-funded projects;
· Expertise in project studies, socio-economic impact assessment and operational research.
Mr GWET has worked extensively as an expert in transport economics and capacity building (30 projects in several African countries).
His experience in transportation economics and his excellent knowledge in the management of transportation strategies and policies make him a particularly relevant candidate for this position.
