Daudi Ochieng is a highly skilled professional with over 30 years of experience in advocacy, marketing, and communication campaigns for social and behavior change. Currently serving as the Head of Advocacy, Communications, and Marketing for Malaria Consortium in Uganda, Daudi plays a vital role in designing and implementing innovative strategies to address public health challenges.

His expertise includes providing technical assistance to the Ugandan government, utilizing cutting-edge behavior change communication and marketing approaches to advise the Ministry of Information and National Guidance and Ministry of Health. Daudi excels in developing and distributing communication materials in multiple languages, engaging with media outlets, and driving visibility for various organizations.

In his role at Malaria Consortium, Daudi oversees strategic guidance, management, and coordination of internal and external communications, stakeholder relations, and media outreach. He is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating marketing, communication and advocacy strategies, ensuring the creation of impactful materials and driving innovation in social mobilization, community engagement, and behavior change.

Daudi's accomplishments extend to risk communication and infodemic management, where he led the development and implementation of communication plans for the COVID-19 vaccine rollout for WHO across 47 African countries. His extensive experience in integrated marketing and communication campaigns includes co-designing award-winning initiatives such as the Malaria Control Culture Campaign, the 'Good Life Game Show' and the mRDT campaign.

As an experienced Radio and TV Producer, Daudi has made significant contributions to various projects, including the creation of award-winning reality radio series like 'Under the Mango Tree' the 'Good Life Game Show' and 'HIV radio diaries series.' His TV production expertise encompasses the development of impactful social marketing TV adverts.

Daudi's contributions go beyond his professional work, as he actively participates in committees such as the Uganda AIDS Commission message clearing committee, COVID-19 national task force, Uganda Communication and National Guidance task force,RBM SBC working group and the SBCC technical working group. His outstanding work has been recognized by the African Network for Strategic Communication and Africa Excellence Awards in Communication, Marketing, Health and Development, earning him multiple international, regional and national awards.

Throughout his career, Daudi has collaborated with organizations at international,regional and national levels, including Malaria Consortium, WHO, UNOPS, EU, MOH, CCP, World Bank, UNFPA, Save the Children, UNICEF and RBM, to develop and implement innovative communication interventions.
