I'm a passionate international worker in water resources management, with good leadership, communication, organizational and technical skills. Over 25 years of practical experience in Latin America, Asia and Africa in IWRM, Catchment management and irrigation, amongst others. I have a lot of practical and hands on experience and skills in these topics, from project development, implementation to evaluation.

Besides those topics, I love sports, I'm an active long distance sporter. Living in the beautiful country of Bolivia, working all over the world. My whole family has an international approach, we're often in different continents! Although I'm Dutch, I consider myself as a world citizen.

General experience and skills:

·      Agricultural engineer with over 20 years of professional experience in international technical cooperation, with special focus on rural development

·      18 years of hands-on experience in matters related to Integrated Watershed Management and Integrated Water Resource Management

·      12 years of hands-on experience in supporting sustainable agricultural production systems, including the application of water harvesting and small scale drip and sprinkler irrigation technologies, soil conservationand measures for the adaptation to climate change

·      15 years of professional experience in the organizational development of public and private stakeholders at sub-national level, with special focus on municipal/local governments, multi-stakeholder institutions for the management of natural resources as well as community organizations

·     10 years of accumulated experience in the technical and logistical management of staff from partner organizations
