Having spent about 15 years in leadership roles across Africa, I have a deep understanding of doing business on the continent, and of what truly drives successful businesses – and it takes more than the ability to talk a good game. It is by creating a focus on results; by having clear goals that are attainable even when they stretch the team; by aligning processes to the organisation's goals; by building an agile team that is responsive to a dynamic market; and by leading that team in an ethical, fair and honest manner.

I have successfully led high-level negotiations with organisations and governments in 16 countries in Africa, opening multiple business opportunities. As a leader, I turned around my unit from the worst in the company, to the best in terms of portfolio growth rate, revenue and bottom-line growth rates, staff efficiency, and staff satisfaction. In addition to my leadership skills, I occasionally conduct negotiation skills trainings.
