My professional experience is built around the technical services sector, with specialization in transport and civil aviation. I have just concluded my mandate as Executive Director of the Albanian Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA), where in the last two years I actively contributed in the fulfilment of the procedures for the development of two new airports in Albania, Kukësi and Vlora airports. Other achieved objectives, as head of the CAA, were the improvement of the on-time performance of the airlines in terms of passenger rights regulations enforcement; the performance of the Tirana Airport concessionaire as head of the Project Implementation Unit and the increase of the quality of the exercising of regulatory activities of the CAA, in line with the National Transport Strategy and National Transport Plan.

My appointment as head of the CAA came after seven years of experience in the public and private sectors, and some academia, where I have held the position of graduate assistant and part-time lecturer in the US and Albania. My career in the public sector started with the quality assurance officer in the Albanian CAA, Minister Advisor, Chief of Staff and Director of Foreign Projects and PPPs in the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. I entered the ministerial level positions as part of the LEAD Albania Program, administered by the Albanian-American Development Foundation.
