Full professor in agricultural economics and policy at University of Tuscia, Italy.

He has been working on 7 policy evaluations of the EU Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) with particular emphasis on Pillar 1 measures (i.e. direct support and Common Market Organizations) as well as the international team leader in the project: “Turkey: Mapping Agribusiness Support Measures in Turkey Phase III - Support the design of a Monitoring and Evaluation System of the Turkish Agriculture Support Measures in line with best practices”. Research activities focus on ex-ante and ex-post impact assessment of agricultural policies, irrigation policies and agricultural risk management policies. These research activities have been developed by means of mathematical programming and econometric tools with particular emphasis on farm level database. Additional research has been recently developed on the resilience of farming systems.
