David has extensive, hands-on experience of preventing and combating all forms of crime and corruption, at all levels of accountability, in often sensitive Public Sector Institutions and challenging national environments. Since 2001, he has championed and made valuable contributions to a diversity of closely related international development initiatives, including projects funded and managed by the EU, some of which first required an objective situational analysis and reliable needs assessment.

He employs an open consultative style in bringing beneficiaries and their key interlocutors together in mutually beneficial partnerships built upon effective communication and feedback, the productive exchange of information, multi-disciplinary training and transparent community engagement. He has both strategic and operational credibility in the field and has gained a reputation for exceeding expected outcomes.

David earlier enjoyed an exemplary and distinguished 30-year career with the British Police during which, he rose through the ranks with regular progression to become Head of Interpol UK and an influential member of the Senior Management Team of the UK National Criminal Intelligence Service. He was also an elected member of the European Management Committee of the Interpol worldwide organisation.
