• Fifteen years senior management experience as a field-based Chief of Party, USAID/OFDA Regional Director for Africa, and USAID Foreign Service Officer.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage field project offices; supervise diverse staff; and oversee geographically dispersed operations.
• Experienced technical advisor on design, development and implementation of programs to improve stability, catalyze post-conflict transition, and create social, political and economic conditions conducive to long-term economic and social development.
• Proven track record of successful management of large, complex USG-funded infrastructure development, stabilization, post-conflict transition, and humanitarian response programs to save lives and mitigate impact of disasters, restore food security and livelihoods, and undertake urgent post-conflict reconstruction activities.
• Strong knowledge of key governance issues including decentralization; poverty reduction; access to and availability of essential services; civil society development; and anti-corruption programming.
• Extensive experience in development, implementation and management of USAID-funded assistance programs including small, medium and large grants management.
• Strong public diplomacy skills, including excellent written reporting and oral presentation skills.
