Innovations to Prepare for Future Epidemics and Pandemics: Focus Area 1: Innovative Vaccine Platforms That Can Transform Outbreak Response

Objectives: CEPI is launching a call for proposals titled 'Innovations to Prepare for Future Epidemics and Pandemics,' focused on advancing vaccine platform innovations for potential epidemic or pandemic pathogens, including unknown ones referred to as Disease X. The objective is to be able to develop a vaccine or other biologic countermeasure within 100 days of recognizing a pandemic pathogen to curb its threat effectively. This will require rapid advancements in vaccine technologies and equitable access to these innovations. The initiative aims to support preclinical, clinical, and manufacturing innovations to enhance readiness for known and emerging epidemic threats.
