Description

The Marche Region has just published the public notice for International Cooperation and Global Citizenship Education projects. In order to promote International Cooperation and Global Citizenship Education activities and develop the planning of the subjects of the Marche region, the Marche Region intends to support the implementation of territorial projects (PT) promoted by the subjects envisaged by art. 11 of LR n. 9/2002 and subsequent amendments and by art. 5 of LR 23/2020 which must have an operational headquarters in the Marche region. The notice provides for two different lines of intervention with a total allocation of 500,000 euros .

LINE 1 – INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

The projects must have a total cost between €20,000 and €100,000 and a total duration of between 12 and 16 months and must concern the implementation of interventions aimed at developing agricultural, artisanal, fair trade, tourism and artistic and cultural heritage production activities; implementation of cooperation interventions in the social and health sector; implementation of cooperation interventions in the environmental sector; formal and informal education programmes, professional training; implementation of specific interventions to improve the condition of women, children and the elderly; actions that contribute to the management of migratory processes in the countries of departure; support for return migration, projects to promote employment in the countries with the highest risk of migration.

The following subjects can benefit from the incentives provided:

Civil society organizations (CSOs) registered in the lists of Non-Profit Entities (art.26 paragraphs 2 and 3 of Law 125/2014 and art. 17 of Ministerial Decree 113/2015) published by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), provided that they have their operational headquarters in the Marche Region (§ note 1);
ETS Organizations (Voluntary Organizations, Social Promotion Associations, Third Sector Foundations) registered in the National Third Sector Register (RUNTS)1 regularly constituted and operating for at least three years, with particular reference to those whose articles of association and internal organization include, among their prevalent social purposes, assistance activities in the field of human rights, international cooperation and development, solidarity and the values of peace, and the defense of environmental heritage, with at least three years of experience in the national or international field, having their operational headquarters in the Marche Region (§ note 1).
Entities regularly registered in the Regional Register of Cooperation and International Solidarity of the Marche (art. 16 of LR 9/2002).
The subjects referred to in points 4.1.1 and 4.1.2, at the same time as the presentation of the project, must submit, under penalty of exclusion, an application for registration in the regional register referred to in art. 16 of LR 9/2002. Each subject can participate in a maximum of one project proposal as Lead Partner and a maximum of one proposal as Partner .

LINE 2 – GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION

Projects must have a total cost between €20,000 and €100,000 and a total duration between 12 and 16 months and must concern Formal Education, Non-formal Education and Information and Awareness Raising.

The following subjects can benefit from the incentives provided:

Civil society organizations (CSOs) registered in the lists of non-profit entities (art.26 paragraphs 2 and 3 of Law 125/2014 and art. 17 of Ministerial Decree 113/2015) published by AICS (Italian Agency for Development Cooperation), provided that they have their operational headquarters in the Marche Region (§ note 1);
ETS Organizations (Voluntary Organizations, Social Promotion Associations, Third Sector Foundations) registered in the National Third Sector Register (RUNTS) (§ note 2) regularly constituted and operating for at least three years, with particular reference to those whose statute and internal organization include, among the prevalent social purposes, activities in the field of education for global citizenship, human rights, cooperation and international development, solidarity and values of peace, defense of environmental heritage, sustainable development in possession of at least three years of experience in the national or international field, having an operational headquarters in the Marche Region.
Entities regularly registered in the Regional Register of Cooperation and International Solidarity of the Marche (art. 16 of LR 9/2002).
The subjects referred to in point 4.2.2 must present, at the same time as the project presentation, under penalty of exclusion, a copy of the statute and a three-year activity report. Each subject can participate in a maximum of one project proposal as Lead Partner and a maximum of one proposal as Partner .

The priority areas of intervention are:

LINE 1 INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

PRIORITY 1 AFRICA – Sub-Saharan Africa
PRIORITY 2 MEDITERRANEAN AND MIDDLE EAST – Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine
PRIORITY 3 LATIN AMERICA AND CARIBBEAN – Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Cuba
PRIORITY 4 BALKAN AREA – Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia The areas listed above are part of the list of countries drawn up by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and are included in the low/middle income categories among developing countries.
LINE 2 EDUCATION FOR INTERNATIONAL GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP

The projects must exclusively concern activities carried out in the Marche Region, with the exception of specific activities at national level for which the activities in the Marche must be highlighted (e.g. final events, presentation of experiences carried out in the Marche, etc.).
The proposing entity and the partnership network must guarantee an overall co-financing quota of no less than 40% of the total cost of the project, in cash and with valorisations. The proposing entity must guarantee a cash contribution of at least 10% of the total cost of the project .

Applications must be submitted by November 18, 2024 .
