FY25 Women in Apprenticeship and Nontraditional Occupations (WANTO) Technical Assistance Grant Program

Objectives: The FY25 Women in Apprenticeship and Nontraditional Occupations (WANTO) Technical Assistance Grant Program aims to provide technical assistance to employers and labor unions in the United States and its territories to encourage the employment of women in both apprenticeable and nontraditional occupations. The program will focus on developing pre-apprenticeship and other skills training programs, providing orientation resources to create supportive environments for women, and setting up support groups to enhance retention in these occupations. The intent is to support women’s participation across industries like advanced manufacturing, construction, energy, healthcare, IT, finance, and transportation, where women are underrepresented, and ensure their economic security.
