Strengthening the capacity of citizen science in biodiversity observation

Objectives: The primary goal of this grant is to bolster citizen science's role in biodiversity observation across Europe. By promoting citizen engagement and strengthening connections with experts in taxonomy, genomics, IT, education, and communication, the grant seeks to harmonize efforts and enhance data use to support biodiversity conservation. The initiative aims to incorporate citizen science into broader taxonomic and ecological networks, facilitate systematic biodiversity observation, and model impacts of biodiversity loss drivers like climate change on ecosystems and species distribution.
