Fortalecimiento de las redes comunitarias para mejorar la promoción, el acompañamiento y la referencia oportuna en salud y nutrición materno-infantil

Objectives: The grant aims to enhance community networks to advance maternal and child health and nutrition in prioritized municipalities of Alta Verapaz and Totonicapán. It focuses on training and supporting key community actors such as community managers, midwives, and adolescents, and integrating them with local health services. The project emphasizes community empowerment through strategic social and behavior change initiatives, developing health and nutrition community plans, and generating evidence for public policies and sustainable scaling models. This effort is pivotal in addressing the chronic child malnutrition prevalent in Guatemala and augmenting the capacity of local health systems.
