Objectives: The grant aims to select one to three international or national non-governmental organizations that are active in regions affected by displacement and conflict-related violence in North Kivu and South Kivu provinces. The selected organizations will implement projects aligned with the 'Crisis Response Plan for Eastern DRC,' focused on facilitating rapid recovery, enhancing livelihoods for internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, and survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), while also strengthening social cohesion and community resilience. Expected outcomes include creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for IDPs, returnees, and host communities, fostering socio-economic integration, and promoting social cohesion to reduce community tensions. Initiatives will include cash-for-work programs, socio-economic reintegration support, and creation of income-generating activities, aiming to empower vulnerable populations and foster peaceful coexistence.
