Call 2026 – Biodiversity Sub-programme / Udbud 2026 – Delprogrammet for Biodiversitet: Synergies between cultural heritage and biodiversity

Objectives: The Call 2026 under the Biodiversity Sub-programme, part of the Nordic Nature Programme, aims to support Nordic cooperative projects that actively combat biodiversity loss. It targets projects that align with the Kunming-Montreal Biodiversity Framework Agreement from a Nordic viewpoint, facilitate synergies between cultural heritage and biodiversity restoration, and promote the consideration of cultural environments alongside nature. Projects are expected to foster sustainable development by uniting traditional and nature-based solutions to reinforce ecosystem resilience while conserving cultural heritage. Successful applications will present methods that not only protect cultural heritage but also enhance biodiversity or restore ecosystems.
