Purpose: The purpose of the Public Sector PhD Scheme is to strengthen research-based innovation and contribute to long-term competence-building in the public sector through the recruitment of doctoral candidates in public agencies. The projects must be based on needs and challenges and be included in the public agency's plans for development.
At the same time, the scheme will contribute to closer collaboration between the public sector and research communities, so that research-based knowledge can be used more easily.
