Elrha’s Research for Health in Humanitarian Crises programme aims to improve health outcomes for people affected by humanitarian crises by strengthening the evidence base for public health interventions. Since 2013, we have funded more than 100 research studies.  

We have identified a critical gap in funding for knowledge translation, communications and engagement activities required for research findings to be understood, used and applied by humanitarian stakeholders.

The Uptake and Impact Small Grants call for proposals, which is open to current and previous R2HC grantees only, is making available funds to enable grantees (researchers and/or their operational partners) to undertake targeted, focused engagement, communications and uptake activities to enable existing research findings from R2HC-funded studies to be understood, taken up and applied by humanitarian actors.  

Applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until 30 November 2024.

Eligibility

This call for proposals is open to current and previous R2HC grantees only.

Purpose

To enable grantees to undertake targeted, focused engagement, communications and uptake activities to enable existing research findings from R2HC-funded studies to be understood, taken up and applied by humanitarian actors.  

Grants are available up to a maximum of £50,000. We anticipate that most grants we award will be in the region £20,000 - £25,000, given the nature of the Call. All grants must be fully completed by latest 30 September 2025.
